2004 Voting

California Voter Guide

SD County Prop. A: Yes (improve roads, maybe even in Santee)

SD County Prop. B: ?? (Not sure. If passed, would result in more trash coming to Santee landfill, but north county landfill was not approved in the usual way)

Prop. 1A: Yes (Similar to 65, why not vote for both?)

Prop. 59: Yes (more freedom of info from govt. meetings)

Prop. 60: Yes (retain current election process)

Prop. 60A: Yes (may not require state to sell excess property, but could provide some additional funding to pay off debt)

Prop. 61: No (Don't need more debt and children's hospitals in SD are some of the best in the state)

Prop. 62: No (biased towards big budget campaigns)

Prop. 63: Yes (taxes only millionaires 1% income tax for mental health funding)

Prop. 64: No (Sounds too vague about injury or loss, and I don't like anything being restricted to govt. lawyers)

Prop. 65: Yes (proposed by local govt. and probably better than 1A)

Prop. 66: Yes (Sounds a tad more merciful)

Prop. 67: Yes (3% phone tax is sounds a bit excessive, but limited 50 cents per month)

Prop. 68: No (If passed, slot machines will end up being in urban areas)

Prop. 69: No (Too Big Brother-ish)

Prop. 70: No (A 99-year agreement sounds fishy)

Prop. 71: Yes (stem cell research support)

Prop. 72: ?? (Not sure. Would require businesses to provide funding for employee health care, but could hurt small business and impact state budget)
