Our tour with Rick Steve's Through the Back Door was wonderful! We will miss our guides, driver, and fellow tour members very much.

We were led by our courageous, intelligent, funny, and fashionable Rolinka. "Wakey, wakey" and "the Big Message" will be indelibly burned into our memories.

The statue above is a replica standing in the square of the Uffizi. The original David is in the Florence Academy which we visited but no picture-taking was allowed, and I did not dare disrespect the master. Likewise for the Sistine Chapel, no pics, alas. |
